I'm Riding For

My Grandfathers

Both of my grandfathers had their own cancer fights when I was a kid. Even though their success varied, I learned that all you can do is hope and fight. By doing this challenge, I want to bring more hope to anyone who is or will be facing this disease.

My Story

This August, I am participating in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because over 1,400 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.

Cancer sucks at any age and my family knows it first-hand (thankfully not childhood cancer). Being a parent myself, I can't even imagine how heartbreaking it is to have a child diagnosed with this disease and what kind of pain these poor kids have to go through. Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer. It's my 5th year doing this challenge and I raised $7,966.21 while riding 4,472 km in the previous years.
