My Story

This August, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, over 1,700 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.

Today is the first day I've been on my bike for a week or so. Missed work almost all week with Covid- it didn't kick my butt this bad during the pandemic. I feel like I've finally turned the corner, and I might actually get better.

It certainly put me behind in my challenge. I'm going to have to really work at it!

GCC Tracking

I tried tracking my ride the other day with the app, but it wasn't accurate. I think it was tracking in MILES but calling them kms! So my 12.8 km ride was logged as 7.9 kms! I deleted it and entered it manually! I'll stick with Map my Ride and Relive!
