Hi and welcome to the page,

Throughout August, I (and so many others) take part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer. This year, I have ambitiously set a self-imposed objective of $10,000 and cycle 500 km through the month of August.

Personally, I started riding after a very close family friend (a second mother) passed away from cancer. She was truly special to me and this is one way I can honour her each year. She battled hard over 10 years, and I now dedicate every August to bike as hard as she battled - that's why I have been so ambitious this year in my objectives. And this event for me is beyond the funds we raise, it is connection too. I feel so pleased and grateful for everyone who connects and shares their story. The amount of people who have a similar story to mine is unfortunately shocking.

Many of these stories involve kids. Kids who should be living life, not fighting for it; yet, over 1,700 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.

I want to be a small cog in the machine that changes the narrative. Your contribution, walk, ride, story can be a deeply influential to this small cog. Please support me in anyway you value - it is extremely generous and helps me every day of August.
