Thank you to all you wonderful people who have supported my fundraising for this cause. CANCER hits all of us directly or indirectly at some point in our lives. I’ve been blessed and completely surrounded by amazing human beings that have touched me deeply.
I truly appreciate all of your support.
Although I’ve reached my goal I’ll continue adding a few more kms extra so that during this entire month I’ll dedicate all my kms to this cause.
Once again thank you all ❤️❤️❤️
On the 28th July 2025 I lost my pup which gave me more of an incentive to keep going. Jack 13th Oct 2013 RIP 🪦 28th July 2025
Today was extremely hot 🥵 weather. Not great to cycle 🚲 run 🏃♂️ or walk as the news were telling people the around this area the weather is on red alert. Had booked paddle 🏄♂️ surfing with my godson Tiago. I didn’t leave my cell phone behind. Forgot to change my sport today to paddle surfing 🏄. Basically it was a short distance today. However, I still feel I’m contributing to this cause even more as I got an anonymous donation which has brought me close to $1000 when I had asked for $750.
Anonymous thank you for donating. I am grateful. ☺️
It was a very hot 🥵 day. Good thing I went towards the south and fantastic choice. After that was walking 🚶 home when I bumped into my cousins Natalia’s, grandson Tomás. Walked over to the North side to watch him taking his surf 🏄♂️ lesson.
Very hot but walked by the shade. Rode a bike for max 2kms. The rest was done by walking. 🚶 Thank you 🙏 for all who are supporting me during this challeng.
Today was a difficult day. Very hazy this morning due to the smoke in the air due to 🔥 fire surrounding the area where I’m from in Portugal. Also Strava didn’t calculate all of the walking did. Got to 5 kms according to Apple Fitness. Didn’t complete as much as I wanted.
Hoping tomorrow I’ll feel stronger to continue.
Still not sure if everyone can see my updates. I hope so. It was a slow first day. Yet I’m proud of what I accomplished. As I begin this challenge in Portugal 🇵🇹 and I’d like to end it before returning Canada 🇨🇦. I’ll definitely try my very best but if I can’t I’ll continue in Canada 🍁
It had been a crazy month this July. Many changes in my life and my move back to my condo after a fire 🔥 on the 13th June of 2024.
But back to what’s important. I’m training slowly on a kind of bicycle (more like a tricycle)
which I know I won’t tip over. I don’t think I can cycle 100 kms but it could happen with will power and enthusiasm my little cousin of 7 years, just told me “Prima you have yo just look straight you won’t fall” the cutest voice. I couldn’t deny the cause to end because I’m unable to cycle. I will complete the walking of 100 kms or I’m hoping for more kms thank you all who have donated so I can participate on this GCC 2025!
I have decided to give it a go just to see if I still have pain while cycling on my broken vertebrae, which will not ever correct itself. Picked a terrible day to cycle as it was way too hot. Plus the pain to complete the 10 km, I am paying for it today...
At this moment, I am preparing to start this challenge by walking much more...trying to run...and hopefully maybe as my Dr. told me today...By next year, I may be able to CYCLE...Hopefully so...as I will continue with this funding for this awful disease...
I’m basically doing everything in my power to get fitter for this WALK.
Just today I have a good friend who lost her 3 year old little girl to this disease. I urge you to help in any way. Doesn’t have to be by sponsoring me. Of course it all helps. But feel free to donate or not. A word of encouragement truly is needed especially with so many children who suffer so much to this disease 🦠
Thank you for reading this.
