Back to my beautiful home province and enjoyed hugging the coastline yesterday and a 20km ride to and from Spruce Lake today. Looking forward to the challenge of riding 50km Wednesday Aug 13th for KICK CANCERS BUTT DAY when donations are matched to 1.3 million thanks to the generosity of a Toronto family .

What a great week ending with a show at Harmony House celebrating local very talented musicians . Had to go to Richard’s before I left the Island today so made sure I was first in line . Shared that strategic move with a like minded couple from Ottawa. Then off to complete a total of 150 km plus to date for the GreatCycleChallenge Canada 🇨🇦 Lessons learned - Wear padded bike shorts next week!!
Happy to do another 31plus km today , weather glorious. Robinsons Island is a pebbly 5km route and if you are not careful you could be doing another loop . I managed to get off at 6km and continued on to Dalvay and back . Love the ocean air here “on the garden on the Gulf “ 🏝️❤️
Gorgeous day and decided to do Cavendish / North Rustico route to bring me over the 100km mark .

Stopped at Volkswagen Charlottetown to get a 2:30 pm diagnostic appointment because an indicator light went off, fingers crossed . Managed to get a good ride in nearby beforehand.
Next week will be biking in New Brunswick and thinking of home today with it being NEW BRUNSWICK DAY!
Sunday mass on the Island with my host and her friends and then off to brunch.
Stayed off my bike today purposely to have a bit of a rest and help on the farm here. Gorgeous weather and feeling grateful for all.
Started the day at the farmer’s market here in Charlottetown. Then other errands with my host . Again so looking forward to get on with my GCC challenge . I went for a 30.3km bike ride. I stopped in at the beautiful Delvay Inn to stretch and inadvertently disengaged my GCC tracker. Luckily I had my fitness tracker! Great ride but my body sure is feeing it!
I arrived on the Island mid afternoon and could hardly wait to get on my bike for a quick coastal
route ride. Cut it short from 25km to 20.2 km because of farm fresh produce dinner awaiting me .
There is no place like the Maritimes in the summertime.
