Day 13…wasn’t able to bring in any more donations for these kids, but I am very thankful to the wonderful ppl who have helped me get this far. It’s all about the kids! Keep riding for them…🥰🚲🥰
Day 9…today was Stationary Bike Saturday. Not my best day, not my worst…but every single time I get on that bike, I think of those kids…never giving up…determined…STRONG! 🥰
Another 15 km for the kids and then some play time…always remember to find time to play!❤️🐾
Day 8…new trails, new people and an awesome dog named Howie, to cheer me on! Between a dike ride and some time grumbling on the stationary bike, another 26 kms today.😃🚲🐾
Day 7…hot the paved trails, those uphills SEEM to be getting a little easier? Maybe, just maybe…or I’m getting more determined.🤣
Dropped another Kindness Rock…
CANCER CURE, HERE WE COME! 👍🏻🚲❤️
Day 6…there’s just no quitting. I’ve made a commitment to these kids. ❤️ 🚲 They are standing up against cancer and so will we.❤️
Another 33 km on the stationary bike today…
Had a pretty cute support raccoon, cheering me on and also wondering what the heck I was up to.🤣👍🏻🦝
Day 5…out to the trails and dropped another Kindness Rock. Might just add on another donation, you never know. 🥰🚲 Up and down, back and forth…are my legs getting stronger or are the hills getting flatter?🤣 We may never know.
One ride in the park and two more times on the Stationary bike, for a total of 20 km today. 😃👍🏻🚲❤️ This is NOTHING, compared to what these kids are dealing with. They get up…they get going…they keep smiling! 😃❤️ We’ve got this.
Day 4…didn’t go as planned, but that’s no excuse.😃👍🏻🚲 A shorter than expected ride in the trails this morning, and when it became obvious I wasn’t going to get back out on the bike, I just stayed in and got on the bike. Having a stationary stand helps! Another 14 km this evening, for a total of just under 19 for the day. These kids don’t get a break from fighting cancer. Good days, bad days, quiet days or busy ones…they are still going. So, so am I!🥰👍🏻🚲
“Do what you can, where you are, with what you have”.
Up and out the door very early this morning and not home till late evening…didn’t allow any biking time, but…these kids don’t get to just take a break from their cancer journey, so I’m not taking a break either.❤️ Stationary biking will get it done.
Got 8 km done towards my 600 km goal. We’ll get there.😃👍🏻Tomorrow is a new day and renewed effort…there is no giving up till we fund that miracle that these kids need, in their cancer journey.
We will do it…TOGETHER!!❤️🚲
Day 2…when I planned to “fit my ride in” to my day, it hit me that these kids and their families weren’t given the option of “fitting it in”. They weren’t given that choice. How lucky am I, to be able to help them, simply by getting on a bike and peddling, while asking others for donations.❤️🚲
Very, very thankful that I GET TO help these kids, and give them something good in their lives, as they do all they can to beat cancer.
“I’M RIDING TO FIGHT KIDS CANCER!”❤️🚲❤️
What a beautiful morning! Day 1 of GCC 2025.
Here we go…peddling for these kids, as they journey through their fight against cancer. They don’t have a choice, but we do…they need us to help find a cure. We WILL! This could be the day, month, year, that the funds we help to raise, fund that cure! We believe it will happen!❤️
It becomes pretty clear that you’re not a bike rider when the hills seem to jump out in front of you …where the heck do those things come from?🤣🤷♀️ The downhills are easy..🤣👍🏻🚲…peddling the uphills, I’m thinking about these kids. Their smiles. Their strength. Their determination and refusal to give up. I’ve got the easy part…supporting the GCC cause for SickKids. Let’s do this! Let’s find a cure for these kids.❤️
TEAMWORK!😃👍🏻🚲❤️
