In Canada right now there’s about 800 wild fires and in our province there’s 12 active fires the most recent fire close to us is still considered out of control and is only 15 or 20 kilometres away. Just the next community over yesterday. Parts of manuals river and paradise got evacuated. I rode home from work, which is about 26 km away while everything was going into evacuation The air was very smoky and still is today from all the fires burning. Last year I did 701 km and I rose $706 for kids with cancer. as of now, I have 312 km ridden and about $750 raised toward kids with cancer. I’m a little discouraged because I’ve already missed part of one week and now I’m gonna miss a good bit of this week, but because of all the wildfires evacuation/ advisories orders and all the smoke in the air I may not get as many kilometres as I have hoped to. but in saying that, despite all of the stuff going on, I’m still gonna try my very best to get as many kilometres as possible. today’s donation match day and I have support from a lot of friends and family that are helping me support this cause but they also want me to try to stay safe so with that being said, I’ll do my very best to get as many kilometres as I can, but it’s gonna be hard getting as many as I did last year if I’m not constantly commuting back-and-forth to work, wish me luck and everybody else in Canada please stay safe Here’s some of my ride so far 103.39 km being my biggest ride so far. and I ain’t doing too bad considering I’ve only had eight good rides.
