We did not receive a 100% match yesterday. This is a good thing! It means that Canadians donated in excess of $1.3 million yesterday.Hurray! Thank you so much for fighting kids cancer.
If we can get 3 more people to join our group of supporters, I will 'walk the runway' in spandex cycling clothes.
While this offer does not go away until the challenge is over, please use this wednesdays event to get your donation matched.
If you are worried about not remembering to place a donation on wednes, you can etransfer me. And Pauline will make sure it gets uploaded on Wednesday.
My commute starts with the Bedford-Sackville Connector Trail system, as far as I know all trails are closed with the threat of a $25000 fine.
While this puts a pause on my bike commuting, i'll be back tomorrow with a plan to ride the bus 2km into Bedford so i can continue my rides. This ride must go on! I am still excited about this month, I hope you are too.
Thank you for fighting kids cancer.
Now, I am going to find my sunscreen and go for a ride.

I will post before and after photos and a short video of the first cut.
It a sunny day! 10am. I'm just getting back from a ride to Fall River.
Day 1: The First Ride
Not the ideal day to start. It was overcast and a bit cold today. I was hoping for a sunny day. I could choose to start tomorow right? But the kids I’m riding for don’t get that sort of choice. They don't get to delay or put a pause on things due to weather.
This is Hendrix: https://greatcyclechallenge.ca/about/the-kids/meet-hendrix
He’s been fighting cancer for two and a half years.
Let’s show these kids they’re not in this alone.
If you’re reading this and want to help, even just a little, it really does matter. A few dollars, a share, a kind word. It all adds up.
Good Morning!
