Or just takes one weak link!

Today set off earlier than usual, no smoke and a great temperature for riding.

I had in mind to ride 35 Kms today, I was feeling

good and pretty energetic . Unfortunately, I only made it to the 17 km mark and my chain snapped, didn’t just come off it broke, so with a little help from Brooke it made it into the bike shop. Gone are the days when you just buy a new chain for $10.00 now the chain costs $59.00 and it needs a new cassette as well so after coughing up $145.00 dollars we are better than new.

E-bikes parts are more expensive. I also learned it broke because I had too many kms on it.

Have almost 2000 Kms on it and chains apparently are pretty much done after 1000 on an e-bike. Off again tomorrow morning at the crack of 10:00 😜

Day 5

Poured rain most of the day, will ride tomorrow!

Ride for kids cancer!

I’m sure in cooler, less smoky skies I could ride farther in a month but I’ve chosen a goal I am sure I will reach in spite of heat and smoke 🤗🤗
